Check identity before features
The YMusic package inspected from the publisher source is com.kapp.youtube.final. Search results also contain other YMusic apps with different packages and developers. Their ratings, reviews and store data cannot be applied to this one.
Use our checked release record to follow the source trail. A search result, familiar icon or similar name is not sufficient identity evidence.
Background music and podcasts have different rules
Google’s documentation lists background play, audio-only listening and downloads among YouTube Music Premium features. It also notes that most podcasts can play in the background without membership. Product experiences may vary by country or region.

Do not confuse a file with a service download
Google describes downloads inside YouTube Music for offline listening and requires periodic reconnection to maintain them. A service’s offline feature follows its account, content and membership rules.
YMusic’s policy discusses writing downloaded files to device storage. We have not tested formats, export behavior or rights for individual content. An app’s ability to save something does not by itself grant permission to download or redistribute it. Review the source service’s terms and use content you are permitted to save.
Choose with your own priorities in mind
If you want Google’s supported service experience, start with YouTube Music and its current membership information for your region. We do not quote subscription prices because they can change.
